I don’t like it because it just reminds me that the Red Sox won last year yet again lol.
But overall it doesn’t bother me. I like Terry Francona. He seems like a nice guy and he is a smart manager.
Like the commissar of baseball has no respect for the Yankees.It sould be either Joe Torrie or Joe Gerardo.I have no offence aginst the commissar.

Im fine with it. As long as the AL can win it…AGAIN….then i am completey fine with it. Francona is a very good manager who deserves the spot. I am glad he is managing rather than a bad manager.
I don’t mind in fact i like Terry Francona he’s a real class act.It could have been alot worse. Like if Ozzie Guillen was managing it,then i really would be pissed because i can’t stand him.Not all yankee fan’s feel the way i do,.I’m sure he’ll get alot of boos.But i like him

Well, it’s an ironic twist, but the Red Sox are the defending AL (and WS) champs, so it’s Francona’s honor. At least he’s a good quality manager.
I fit was anybody other than Francona I would have had a beef but he’s a standup guy. He’s a great Manager and he deserves it plus he picked Girardi as one of his Coaches.

It is what it is! Francona isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed but he means well. I have no problem with it really. After all it’s tradition.
Since baseball is now under the most ridiculous rule of making the all star game the determining factor for the world series home field advantage, as long as the American League wins, that’s all I care about.
Once upon a time the all star game was a showcase for the fans. What ever happened to the fun side of the game?
Especially in the last year of Yankee Stadium, it is awkward(and I am a Sox fan). However, it can’t be Girardi. He can’t manage a Little League team. When YES shows him on the bench, it looks like he’s getting input from his players. What’s even worse is that David Ortiz may participate in a “call your shot” contest during the home run derby.
