Red Sox fans is it frustrating that no matter how much you best the Yankees they are still overtaking you?

Me? asked:

Now the Yankees are in first place, is there anyhing that the red sox can do to stop them or not?

The Yankees could not even beat the Red Sox once this year out of all 8 games! Until the Yankees could beat the Red Sox just once, then you can re ask your question

Yankees will win The AL East.

“no matter how much you best the Yankees” ***? Did you even read before you posted this? Anyways, if the Red Sox get hot they’ll give the Yanks a run for the money. It’s barely half way through the season..anything can happen. Besides, aren’t the Yanks 0-8 against the sox?

The Red Sox have played some tough games latley, the bullpen has not been to strong. But the Red Sox have the better pitching staff making them the 2009 A.L east champs by 2 games

I’m a huge Yankees fan, but I have to admit, we need to beat the Red Sox in a one-on-one game, although at the end of the season, it’s whoever has the better overall record, not head-to-head that counts. And by the way, it’s a tie for the lead.

First of all, they’re tied with the Red Sox for first place.

Second of all, yes it is incredibly frustrating watching my Red Sox struggle against sub-500 teams…and at home of all places. The Yankees are hot right now, and I’m really hoping the Angels do some damage once they meet up.

Like it was mentioned before the yankees are tied. So if the season ended today there would be a one game playoff and we’re 8-0 against you guys so I like our chances. The Yankees can’t stay this hot all year and if they do then they deserve to win the division. Teams come down from winning streaks all the time and I expect the Yankees to do that soon.

no it isn’t frustrating and who cares its only july there is plenty of time left in the season for an al east champion to be decided.

first of all stop bashing the dude for asking the question. also it doesnt matter if they are 0-8 against the Red Sox they will meet more times during the course of the season. And i am glad i get to say this. were in first place! the red sox’s bullpen is becoming a problem; meanwhile our starting is ours. So we have switched problems. dont **** the yanks because you aint em!

HeavenleighJune 5th, 2009 at 3:24 pm

no, there’s nothing they can do, just sit back and enjoy it, because the yankees are going for a ride (to the top) and staying:)

imagine where the yankees woud be if mariano didnt blow that one save and if the yankees had won all those close 1–3 run games and if a.j burnett didnt blow a 6-0 lead. the yankees would be like 4 or 5 games up in place. but they will continue to win and claim the division,8-0? who cares, you NEVER count the yankees out.

AHHAHA!! i love watching those f a g s loosing to sub 500 teams. and lemme tell you something else red sox fans… yea your 8-0 in the season series, which i admit is very impressive. but if your gona be 8-0 in the series not not have pulled away in the division. or at least not still have a 4 game lead, then you dont deserve to be in first in the first place!! GOO YANKEES!!!!

Wow.
If I were a Yankee fan, the Red Sox would scare the pinstripes right off of my jersey.
Yes, the Yankees are in first place. But is there not a thing called the wild card that could (and very possibly will) allow the Red Sox, a team that you have not beaten ONCE this season, into the playoffs? And could you not end up facing them in the ALCS?
Finishing in first won’t matter one bit if you can’t beat them in the playoffs.

(Nope – not a Red Sox fan either. As a matter of fact, you are probably talking about my 2 least favorite teams)

Sean "The Pinstriper"June 16th, 2009 at 7:01 am

Well, that shows the Yanks have been 8 games better against the rest of baseball so far. Part of me wants to win the WS without beating the Sox a single time, but that’s not gonna happen. I think we will get 7 of the 10 games we have left with them.

The Yankees are not in first place, they’re tied with the Sox. If you were actually a real Yankees fan you’d know that. And the season is barely half over yet, a lot can change. Even if the Yankees were 20 games up, you never know what could happen.

there is something we can do about it :) btw- you sure are going for a ride lol it’s called (second to the bosox) :)

btw- the redsox will win (their )division by four or five games!
