What do you think Michael Vick’s future might have been if he had never gotten himself in trouble?
John T. asked:
I’m NOT a Falcons fan by the way. I’m a Cowboys fan.
I’m NOT a Falcons fan by the way. I’m a Cowboys fan.
It’s sad. He was a very talented player and I think if he had a better offense, he might have been one of the top rated QBs in the league.
But, it’s his own fault. He ruined it for himself. I hope he never plays again because of this.
But I’m wondering, what do you guys think Michael Vick’s future would have been like if he had stayed out of trouble?
he would of kept improving as a passing QB and set loads of QB rushing records and stuff which i bet he already did
He would have had a few highlights and probably the most dynamic player in the league.. such a terrible tragedy.
its all his fault for being stupid he should have stayed out of trouble but he was never a good QB just a runner
Injured reserve…
I’m a Cowboy’s fan too. Honestly, the Falcons have poor franchise management. They don’t build an all-around team. That has always been the problem. Vick had his issues with the team. If he stayed out of trouble (off the field), He would have asked for a trade or gone downhill. Vick couldn’t carry that team on his own. The franchise was kissing his **** and not attending to their needs to make the team better. He’s very talented but he needed some help with protection!
Look at what they did with Matt Ryan. I hope he works out but they have spent a lot of money on a guy who could get injured because the offensive line is weak. Why didn’t they work on that?
Here’s something to think about….Vick comes back as 2nd string with the Cowboys. LOL Hey you never know, Jerry Jones loves players seeking redemption and has to money to do it. Like i’ve said here in Answers before. Jerry is probably sending letters to him right now, purely for encouragement, of course. LMAO
COWBOYS vs. TEXANS – Superbowl 2010!! Texas Shootout! I can dream, can’t I?
he would have gone to jail for another reason! lol-z
I agree that he cost himself a future because of his stupidity off the field. However, had he never done this(or had word of it not come to light) I don’t know that he would’ve gotten any better. Don’t get me wrong, he was without a doubt the most exciting QB to watch on the field, but he lacked in the one area necessary to play QB: passing. He was never any better than a 50-55% passer during his career and I don’t know that his passing #s would’ve improved any.
he would have produced numbers
his team wouldnt be in such a hell hold
matt ryan woud have gone to baltimore
period
he would have continued being a below average passer with better legs than accuracy and would have been dumped the second he couldn’t run anymore
My opinion is that it would’ve been about the same. Injuries always occur to QB’s that throw before they run. And clearly Alge Crumpler was the only person on the team that could routinely handle his laser passes w/ probably the tightest and fastest spinning spiral I’ve ever scene a QB throw. He probably had a few good years left before he had a major injury. When he gets back now he will have lost a step and the speed of the game is always picking up. And the size constantly growing. Not that Ryan or any rookie is worth that money, but I believe he could be a better producer in the long run than Vick.
A job as a veterinarian would certainly be out. But maybe something in the food service or housekeeping industries.
he would have been hall of fame for is running not passing
I think you are a Ricky Williams fan. He NEVER would have been one of the top rated QBs. When he had a decent WR he didn’t use them. Look at some of the ones who had decent numbers, so the Falcons picked them up, then their numbers dropped and they left and their numbers became decent again. He was never going to become a great QB in my mind. He was a good runner who happened to play the QB spot. He could actually play a good game at QB when forced to, which shows me if he would have worked on it he could have been good. Thing is he had all those years and never worked on it. I think his career would have stayed on the same path. Never really getting anywhere. MAYBE with the new coach it would have helped, but I just don’t think it would. I think he would have been able to chase the coach out and the coach knew it.
Honestly I don’t think he would have done all that much. His most successful seasons were in his earlier years but after teams began to figure him out he was pretty much yesterday’s news. He was never good at passing the ball and relied entirely too much on running… just look at Vince Young, mirror image of Vick.
The running that he did as a QB was great.Until an injury comes about I think sooner or later his carrer would had an injurie that would hamper him throughout the rest off his carrer.
He would have been in and out of trouble his whole career.
The elite players have been given everything they want from day one. They have to be super disciplined no matter where the come from.
A lot of people **** players like Brady, Manning, etc. Most of this has to do with the way they are protected.
