already started……they play 16 games per team (17 weeks) super bowl is the championship

Started last week. There are 17 weeks one is a bye week. They play 16 games. following these games there are playoffs. single elimination 8 teams.

Sept. 10-14 , the season starts every year…
Each team plays 16 games over the 17 week season.
And the NFL championship is called the Superbowl.

It started 9 days ago on Thursday. There are 17 weeks of regular season play during which time all 32 teams get one bye week (week off). Then, it’s the playoffs. There are 3 rounds to get to the championship game, which is called the Super Bowl.

well the NFL(National Football League) usually starts around September 6,7,8,or 9. on a Thursday. Each NFL team Has A 17 week schedule, but only play 16 games, the one remaining week is called a bye week, its like a day off.There are 32 teams, and is currently in its 50 year of organized play. There is a Championship game it is called the “Super Bowl” currently, this season (2009-2010) will end with super bowl XLIV(or 44). there are play-off matches as well. Wild Card is the first offical round. it deals with the better than average teams.(4 teams in this week. other 4 teams have another bye because of their superior standings (overall record.))then there aredivisional playoffs, for the best team in that region. then there are confrence games(AFC. or NFC ) those are between the 4 best teams in the league. the winners of these games play in the superbowl 2 weeks later.
