How long is an average canadian high school football game?
jojocrapio asked:
I just remember it being really long. My game starts at 4:30, and I need to urgently be somewhere at 7:00 (but i can leave the game at like 6:50). Do you think I will make it? How long is an average CFL high school football game?

Well, I don’t think you can come up with an average that applies to the whole country. It really depends on run/pass ratio, how many changes of possession, etc. What you need to look at is how far you need to go, and how much time your other games have been, and take that into consideration…
There are no CFL High School Football games just as there are no NFL High School Games. The CFL is a league just like the NFL. Typically Canadian High School football games have 4 fifteen minute quarters with a 10 – 20 min half time. Depending on the speed of play it could take 3 – 4 hours.
Canadian football is 60 minutes, however the game will likely end closer to 120 minutes from opening kickoff.
4 – 15 minute quarters
10 minute halftime
One time out per half per team
Pro football games last three hours because of television time outs, challenges and way more passing and way more injuries.
