Depends on the team. I think that they only allow 11 on the field at a time, though.

it all depends, 1A high school is different then say 5A high school, which is different than Pro….Wish we could help more, but every team is different, every league is different.

Good players or just players? There are a lot of momma’s boys who come out to play football and I separate them out from the men REAL QUICK, trust me. If you don’t vomit at least twice every practice, I cant use your sorry ass. Oh, and about 55-65.

Each team has 11 players on the field at a time. 11 for offense and 11 for defense. I think the pros have about 44 players on their season roster. Many of the non-starters are backups, but are active on special teams like kick-off, Return kicks, and Point After Touchdowns.

there are 11 football players allowed on the field at any given time. There are 46 active players, and there are those that are benched but can be played when the starter players are injured. I believe the total cap is 99 for NFL. Thus, there can be up to 53 benched players. It has a rare occurence for all 46 active players to be played in any one specific game.
