Why are teams so interested in LeBron James?

David asked:

It’s not even 2010 yet, and teams are falling off their ***** to clear cap space in order to have a run at him when that time come.

I mean, geesh, it’s just LeBron James.

1. you can build a team around him
2. he can do just about anything (pass, rebound, etc.)
3. he sells tickets

i think a better question would be why wouldn’t teams be interested in LeBron James?

ImaGmanApril 11th, 2009 at 3:10 am

a superstar player + Alot of hype= $$$$$$$

Lebron James is the most popular name in basketball

AntwuanApril 11th, 2009 at 5:47 am

Because LeBron James is a superstar and he is one of the best players in the league who wouldn’t be interested in him.

Lebron james is 23 years old, and has already acomplished more than a normal 23 year old NBA player has

teams see that he has a VERY BRIGHT future so why wouldn’t any team want him

Lebron James has amazing stats, is a great improvement to a bad team, and most importantly as stated above “he sells tickets”.

i think that most teams would welcome James for his great scoring ability and his leadership. It’s also better to set up the team you want to make before making acquiring him to make him interested hence the nets giving away one of their best scorers.

He’s a piece to a championship puzzle. But hopefully a good team gets him because Mike, Kobe,Wilt didn’t win until they had a good team around them. So LBJ fans better hope a playoff team grabs him or he’ll be in the same scenario as in Cleveland

Itd be wierd if teams werent intersted in him Lebron is the most popular player in NBA even tho hes not as good as kobe. Lebron is just good at everything in fillin up the stats and he will always get a sell out crowd. The only thing is, even tho team s are clearng their cap space i really dont think lebron will go to another team even if they were to offer lil more money cuz cleveland is his hometown and once he stays in cleveland, other teams did all that work for nothing

sweetyApril 24th, 2009 at 7:03 pm

Lebron James is the star of NBA

Md21April 25th, 2009 at 10:50 pm

the only team interested in him is the nets

Troy RApril 28th, 2009 at 7:51 pm

Apparently he bakes brownies for the whole team each week . Who doesn’t like brownies ?

BayBallaApril 30th, 2009 at 1:20 am

because its lebron james man

cleveland rocks!May 1st, 2009 at 11:19 am

They won’t get him, and they’ll be screwed when he refuses to go. hahahaha, he’ll stick with his home team.

kobe bryantMay 3rd, 2009 at 3:42 am

why are teams not so interested in me? i wonder why maybe i need to stop cry like baby

BalledUpMay 5th, 2009 at 7:51 am

Even though I don’t like him much, he is truly a complete basketball player. Probably second most aggressive player in the NBA (falling only to Amare Stoudemire, who lead the NBA in AND1’s).
He still stands out with a weak team, if he was on a strong team lacking a powerful small forward (like the Suns, who lost Shawn Marion, or the Heat, the Magic, or the Pistons ((Tayshaun sucks)), or even the Rockets) would have a great shot at winning the championship.

GREATEST PLAYER OF ALL TIME

wouldn’t you pursue him?
