Who beleives the Red Sox still will win the division by 5 games or over?

SoxfanWheels asked:

I mean come on the yankees since the allstar break have played teams that none of which are over .500, they have the orioles coming up, then 14 against the angels, tigers, and red sox. The sox still have 6 games against them, the red sox are now going on their stretch of crappy teams, while the yankees are facing the tougher part of their schedule. All in all, the sox could win the division by about 7 games, more if ortiz’ hitting comes around.
Wow, i guess its true what they say, yankees fans are assholes no matter what

I have been saying all year the Yankees will come back which they have done…I wouldn’t be surprised if the Yankees are only behind the Sox by 3-5 at the end of the season…I still think the Sox will win the division but I would be surprised if it is by a huge margin.

The Yankee’s bats have to slow down at some point. I think Boston will take the division, but it may be by less than 5 games.

The Red Sox will win the Division.
If nothing else than by 1 game.
Would love to see Boston win the division on the last day of the season by winning and yankees losing (thereby eliminating from the wild card too).

I can hear yankee fans crying all the way over here in Michigan!

One is all it takes.

It’ll be somewhere between 6-9 games, more than five, but still in the single digits.

Yea, the Yankees have had a very easy schedule during their winning streak, but things will turn around. The Yanks’ bats are gonna cool down and their pitching won’t be able to hold the lead into the later innings.

People forget that the Red Sox still have the best record in the MLB, there’s a reason for that. They’ll still win the division.

If Mussina’s pitching comes around Yanks will run away with the division again.

they win it in a one game playoff.

RickNYAugust 5th, 2009 at 5:16 pm

Um, it’s a 4-game advantage now, playa. And decreasing every minute. Yanks just slaughtered Cleveland over the weekend. Expect more of the same vs. Detroit and Boston. I look forward to seeing NY at Anaheim vs. the Rats, … I mean, er, the Angels.

Ha! What a disgrace. The Indians were supposed 2 be a tough team 2. We blew them right out of the water.

Good luck, and good riddance when we pass u in 1 – 2 weeks.

yanksfan13August 11th, 2009 at 11:50 am

yankees will win.

Salty the SeacatAugust 13th, 2009 at 2:13 pm

I believe in Boston.

You Boston Red Sox fans need to lay off the pipe. What a bunch of idiots thinking they will win the division by more than 5 games. Let alone win it at all. The Yankees will dominate with the best record in baseball.
