How can I get season tickets to the red sox for me and my son?

Andrew S asked:

My son and I are extreme red sox fans, and we go to some games. But I would love to be able to take him to every game. The red sox blood must go on! What can I do to get on a list? Or does anyone know someone who would like to sell their tickets?

Maybe I heard wrong, but I thought I read something about baseball not issuing season tickets anymore. I think they’re gonna be doing this thing where you have to buy a license and they’re calling them licensed tickets. I’m probably wrong.

go to the ticket office and ask or go to ebay … see if someone is selling thiers there… or go to and post under wanted that you want season tix. my bet is that because they are in the playoffs and all that they will be hard to get especially if they win the ws. but it wont hurt to do what i said earlier.

Call the box office around December, and have your credit card ready.

Don’t hope for second row behind the home dugout, though.

the best thing to do is to contact the Boston Red Sox themselves. You could also go to their website. A team sells tickets all season, including during the postseason. Find out if they have any season tickets available and if not, to put you on a waiting list. Forget eBay, Craigslist and all that when you can go directly to the original distributor and eliminate the costly middleman and their hefty fees.

You have to be put on a waiting list.

I’m pretty sure there’s a waiting list that is probably years long. My friend has 4 and there almost in right field last row of box seats WW section 10 I think….he has had them for ten years but was on a waiting list for 2.

Put you sons name on the waiting list and maybe by the time he’s 80 he might stand a slim chance. You have no shot.
