They say that they got this number from adding all the sales that the business gets from the fans, since the majority of fans spend over $500 each on Superbowl day. Many city advisors disagree with this estimate. What do you think? Do you agree that a Football team is a wise invest for the city, or just another business?

Would you be happy if the Yanks just make the playoffs and lose or make the WS and lose? Or is only total victory only acceptable? If I was a Yankees fan, what they’re spending, only a championship would be acceptable, anything less would be failure, but that’s just my opinion.

Things have been looking good with the Yankees lately, and they are suddenly hovering at a two to three game lead. I can certainly imagine them being able to maintain that for awhile, but what do you think is going to happen when you have to play the Red Sox again head to head? It has been pretty much established this year that the Sox have your number and each one of those losses will be a full game swing in the standings. That will chew your lead up and spit it out.

Will they bandwagon from team to team or stay loyal? My guess is that at least half of all Yankees fans are bandwagoneers, almost as bad for the Red Sox.

I mean you look at these people and they are so accustomed to winning that it’s going to be a rude awakening.

Thoughts?
